Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Lafayette, IN to support our operations.

You will verify part numbers, locations and quantities, perform first-line quality checks, and participate in a high-volume warehouse environment with opportunities for growth and transfer to other roles after 30 days. We offer paid training, flexible shifts (8- or 12-hour), and career progression in a large manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and conduct business in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and overhead hoists.
• Perform material handling and warehousing functions: unloading, sorting, putting away, picking, packing and shipping parts, materials and supplies.
• Read process flows and follow detailed instructions to move material within a warehouse.
• Track and record hourly or daily activities for each shift.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases and handling units.
• Maintain reliability with on-time attendance to meet customer needs.
• Lift up to 35 pounds individually (70lb team lift) and work at heights up to 26 feet.
