Job summary

Nexeo Plastics is a leading global thermoplastic resins distributor serving North America, Latin America, Europe, and beyond. The Warehouse Worker will receive, store, and ship inventory using the SAP system, load orders, and assist with packaging from railcars or bulk trucks.

Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork is required. The role involves inspecting equipment, ensuring compliance with laws, and coordinating with Nexeo Plastics teams to maintain smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand and apply instructions in English.
• Must be able to understand and comply with trucking and warehousing laws.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations related to quantities and weights.
• Must be a team player and able to work multiple shifts.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 55 pounds.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Performs required pre-use inspections of equipment and provides required reports.
• Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pick up operations.
• Ensures delivered goods match products on the bill of lading.
• During loading/unloading, checks shipment weights and distribution limits, inspects for damage and discrepancies, and escalates as needed.
• Picks up empty or partially empty drums and totes.
• Reviews paperwork to ensure authorized transport of material.
• Operates forklift to pick and store materials and unload from bulk trucks or rail cars.
• Performs other tasks to support and improve operations; attends training meetings.
