Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring a Warehouse Person/Forklift Operator to move and track inbound, outbound, and stored products in the warehouse. You will offload, stock, select, and replenish items, operating equipment like a forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck.

Schedule is Monday–Friday starting at 5:00am. Pay is up to $15.50 per hour with incentive pay up to $18.00 per hour. Requires 6+ months of warehouse experience and the ability to lift heavy items; benefits are provided from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ months of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Able to work in cooler, freezer and dry environments.
• Able to work scheduled times and required overtime.
• Able to lift 10-35 lb and up to 60-90 lb with location variance.
• Able to obtain forklift operation certification.
• Pass post offer drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound merchandise and locate proper pick locations.
• Restock and prepare lines for order selection.
• Consolidate merchandise and pack products securely.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack or reach truck as needed.
• Maintain inventory integrity and record transactions.
• Pull orders according to delivery routes and sequences.

Position Purpose

The Warehouse Person moves and tracks all inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse. Offloads, stocks, selects, and replenishes products.

As a Forklift Operator, you will operate material handling equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, etc.

Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to)

• Receives all inbound merchandise and locate proper pick location.
• Restocks order pick and flow lines to prepare warehouse for order selection.
• Ensures placement of product in sufficient quantities to accommodate routine or special demands.
• Maintains a high level of attention to detail by ensuring that proper attention is given to all areas including, but not limited to; balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other areas as assigned.
• Transfers merchandise from the receiving area to its appropriate location.
• Consolidates merchandise into picking containers as necessary.
• Packs products securely in cartons and totes.
• Ensures application of shipping ID and mark cartons/totes with truck run and stop number.
• Ensures safe and efficient movement and tracking of inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse.
• Maintains inventory integrity by adhering to system processes.
• Pulls orders according to sequencing on delivery route/run list.
• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

• Performs end of shift tasks such as: charging power equipment and verifying completed work.
• Maintains orderly workstation; return supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry.
• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift.
• Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as Forklift operation.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• 6+ months of Stand Up Reach Forklift experience.
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience.
