Job summary

PDI - Kitchen, Bath, & Lighting in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team. You will handle receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping, while maintaining accurate inventory and supporting safe, efficient warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, experience in warehouse settings, ability to lift heavy objects, and familiarity with WMS and barcode scanners. Forklift certification and a valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehouse operations is a plus.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the plumbing, lighting, or appliance supply industry.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as counting, labeling, and sorting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld barcode scanners.
• A valid driver's license and forklift certification may be required depending on job duties.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments of materials and products. Verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Stock and receive incoming products and materials in the warehouse according to established procedures and maximize space utilization.
• Retrieve items from inventory based on customer orders and RF scanners; ensure accurate picking and packing for shipment.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely; perform routine maintenance checks and report issues.
• Inspect shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies; communicate with management for corrective actions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse; keep aisles clear and dispose of waste properly.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and handle hazardous materials as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
