Job summary

GEODIS is hiring at our Troy, MI facility to receive, store, move and distribute materials and fulfill customer orders. You will read production schedules, move items between receiving, storage and shipping areas, and prepare orders for packing and dispatch.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/walking, and working in non-climate-controlled environments. A high school diploma or GED and some related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• 1–3 months of related experience.
• Ability to perform operations using US currency units, weights, volumes, and distances.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions with common sense.
• Ability to work with standardized tasks with limited variables.
• Ability to use hands, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to non-climate-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials.
• Read production schedules and orders to determine items to move or distribute.
• Convey materials from receiving/production to storage or other areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, or code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or direct to packing/shipping.
