Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Warehouse Worker for a contract role based in Shepherdsville, KY. You will handle packages, unload and load trailers, sort items, and support a returns operation for a K–12 ramp-up in E-Town.

The role involves packing, order picking, and inventory tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Successful candidates will have warehouse experience, the ability to lift and move heavy items, and comfort working with various warehouse processes on first or second shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment with loading, unloading and general labor.
• Ability to lift, carry and move packages and materials daily.
• Experience packing and handling materials safely and efficiently.
• Experience with order picking and inventory handling in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with returns and rework processes in a warehouse.
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures in a warehouse.
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Comfort working in a production-oriented environment with time-sensitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting, picking and handling.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative, energetic team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from trailers and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
• Sort packages to ensure correct destinations within the warehouse network.
• Support the returns group by processing, organizing and reworking returned items.
• Perform packing and packaging tasks for shipment preparation.
• Pick and pull orders and maintain accuracy in order picking activities.
• Assist with general labor tasks such as staging and moving materials.
• Handle inventory tasks including counting and stock maintenance.
• Support shipping and receiving by loading, unloading and verifying shipments.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts if trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow warehouse safety guidelines.
• Work with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support various warehouse functions.
