Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a warehouse associate in Southaven, MS. You will unload, receive, and process inbound shipments, perform picking and packing using RF devices, and assist with sortation and loading for daily deliveries.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a safety-conscious approach. Benefits include healthcare, education assistance, and retirement plans; schedule is Monday–Friday, 2pm–10:30pm with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Unloads pallets and counts/receives product using RF equipment and documents variances.
• Selects products and quantities per Voice Pick Technology/RF scanner and places items into totes.
• Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product and places cartons accordingly.
• Uses RF scanner and pallet jack to load totes/pallets onto trucks for customer delivery.
• Follows safety policies, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports general warehouse operations.

The anticipated pay range for this role is as follows: $18/hr + shift differential for second shift!

Schedule

• Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm + overtime

Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving

Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack. Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology; documents variances.

LUM Picking

Selects products and quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places items into totes on conveyor belt. Removes empty cartons from pick module as needed.

Sortation

Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product. Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.

Loading

Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery. Uses pallet jack to load pallets.

General requirements for all functions
