Job summary

Mutual Trading Co., Inc. is looking for a warehouse delivery driver in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving company trucks for door-to-door deliveries, maintaining inventory organization, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service. Candidates must have a high school diploma, a clean driving record, and preferably 2+ years of delivery experience along with strong organizational and communication skills. This role requires working regular hours as well as potential weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Conversational level English required; Business level preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience required.
• Able to work on weekends, holidays, and after hours if needed.
• 2+ years of driving/delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes door-to-door deliveries by driving company truck.
• Documents, records, and completes driver log.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.

M-F: 8AM–5PM

Essential Job Functions

• Completes door-to-door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned routes
• Documents, records, and completes driver log when making deliveries
• Makes product deliveries and loads delivery trucks in a timely manner
• Picks and assembles orders as indicated on the pick list
• Stacks and organizes warehouse pallets
• Assists receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner
• Inspects received products for damage and volume accuracy and documents accordingly
• Accurately stocks inventory in the assigned warehouse location and rotates product inventory to maintain a First-IN, First-OUT (FIFO) food storage system
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and inventory
• Coordinates with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers
• Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service
• Participates in weekly warehouse meetings
• Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
• Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
• Coordinates semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
• Adheres to Company attendance policies and designated work schedule to keep consistent and reliable attendance
• Other duties as required from manager/supervisor
• Obligation to answer to all management as requested

Physical Requirements

• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours
• Able to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walking
• Able to talk, hear, climb, balance, reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Able to handle and move 50+ pounds assisted frequently
• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours
• Working Conditions
  • Noise Level: Normal to loud
  • Location: Indoor in the office or at customer sites (restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, etc.), travelling
  • Required to wear company provided insulated freezer suit while in freezer
  • Freezing temperatures between -10 and -20 degrees Fahrenheit

Other Requirements

• Conversational level English required; Business level English preferred
• Has and maintains a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year sit down or reach truck forklift operation experience required
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed
• Maintains a positive attitude
• Works efficiently both independently and in a teamAdapts to frequent changes in assignments and workload
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of general warehousing experience required
• 2+ years of driving/delivery experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
• Has strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures
• Forklift training and/or certification preferred
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred
