Shift: Monday - Friday
Airgas operates a modern and efficient fleet, with most vehicles under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology.
As the "face of Airgas," the Branch Associate/Backup Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, delivering, and returning gas cylinders while interacting with customers. Additionally, this role supports the safe stocking, storing, and labeling of incoming materials and supplies at the warehouse, as well as picking, packing, and distributing materials for delivery.
Safely loading, delivering, and unloading cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations. Recording deliveries and pickups on a load manifest, obtaining signatures, and managing empty cylinders.
Establishing and maintaining good customer relations, resolving service inquiries and complaints.
Providing timely communication to managers and sales associates regarding customer issues.
Performing cylinder inspections according to operating procedures.
Maintaining load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring compliance with DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas safety standards.
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Working in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
