Job description

Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-moving environment in the inventory cycle. Responsible for the daily management of people within the warehouse shipping function, to ensure company’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements while ensuring staff comply with health safety and standard operating procedures. This is a hands-on position responsible for housekeeping standards and continual improvement within the warehouse to act independently at the organizational level and to provide backup for the Production Supervisor. Position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Requirements
  1. Prepare opening / closing of warehouse.
  2. Lift 50 pounds or greater.
  3. Receive and record new inventory as delivered.
  4. Inspect & sort all inbound / outbound receipts to confirm properly checked in, processed and in correct location.
  5. Strong understanding and experience of developing and managing metric oriented logistics/warehousing/inventory management processes and the ability to measure, analyze, improve and control and take ownership of the processes.
  6. Knowledge of all customers, employees and contractors, as well as communicating a clear understanding of the customer requirements.
  7. Professional and appropriate interaction with contractors, vendors, customers and employees.
  8. A strong understanding of pricing, route analysis, to assist in the details with Managers.
  9. Understanding of DOT requirements.
  10. Assists the Manager in the understanding and implementation of customer requirements including but not limited to security, handling, and packing, sorting, receiving, loading and delivering.
  11. Operates various equipment including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and box truck to ensure products are staged or stored in appropriate locations within the warehouse.
