Job summary

Boxes 4 U is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver to join our Plano, TX team. This role involves pulling orders, loading/unloading trucks, and assisting with deliveries as needed, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You will handle inventory tasks, work with pallet jacks and forklifts, and communicate with teammates to ensure timely, correct shipments. A valid GED/high school diploma and the ability to pass a pre-employment screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Preparing orders for local deliveries, ground and freight shipments.
• Processing, picking, packing and shipping orders accurately.
• Loading/unloading trucks; company trucks and vendors.
• Inspecting items for defects and reporting as required.
• Restocking and maintaining an inventory of orders as needed.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Maintaining a harmonious work environment.
• Communicating and cooperating with co-workers, supervisors, customers and vendors.
• Following all company policies and warehouse / driver procedures and safety measures.
• Driving Commercial Truck for pick-ups and deliveries as needed.

As a Warehouse Associate / Backup Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by performing various warehouse duties, including pulling orders and safely loading, unloading, and receiving materials, as well as being customer-facing when making deliveries as needed. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will ensure that our customers receive their orders on time and in excellent condition.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED


• One year of experience in a relevant warehouse setting preferred


• Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks


• Experience driving commercial trucks preferred (15 foot to 26 foot)


• Able to follow directions while working in groups or independently with excellent attention to detail


• Have a great attitude and willingness to be a team player


• Able and wiling to learn new computer systems pertaining to receiving, inventory and other warehouse functions


• Able to move up to 75 pounds and handle height while on a scissor lift


• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check


• Basic math skills and must speak, read and write English


• Physical stamina and dexterity for the work involving lifting and moving heavy loads


• Driver's license with an excellent driving record, CDL preferred
