Job summary

Metrie is seeking an Order Puller to join our warehouse team in a full-time role. You will read pick lists, select and package orders, and move materials including mouldings and doors. Tasks include lifting up to 50lbs, operating an electric tugger, and ensuring accuracy and safety throughout the process.

• Operate machinery such as an electric tugger and trailer as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely and on time.
• Product binning and put-away as needed.

What You’ll Do

As our Order Puller, you will have the opportunity to:

• Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors
• Read and understand pick lists and paperwork
• Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weigh between 49-69 lbs.
• Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities
• Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
• Clean and tidy the work area as required
• Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
• Product binning and put-away as needed

What it's like at Metrie

• Safety.Your safety is important to us. We want you to leave the day, the same way you came in. Continuous training with all warehouse personnel for both Safety and Operational excellence. Measure critical safety metrics on a monthly basis, identify potential issues and take appropriate actions.
• Surroundings.You’ll be working around moving machines – order pickers, forklifts, and mobile carts.
• Activity.Some activities may require operating machinery, constant walking, repetitive lifting, and using a handheld scanner.
• Temperature.Warehouse in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Noise level.Can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.
• Dress code.Relaxed, with a few requirements regarding PPE. Metrie provides safety shoes, high visibility shirts or vests, eye protection and gloves.
