At Quest, an MCE Company, we’re growing – and we’re hiring a Warehouse Associate to help us grow even further!
Warehouse Associates will perform various activities such as receiving, sorting, loading, unloading, and shipping products. They will organize stock, maintain inventory, process, pack, and ship orders. They will assist customers in the retail Parker Store setting by providing product recommendations, answering questions, alerting customers to product options and expanding sales revenues by up-selling support programs and product accessories. Keen attention to detail is a must.
Essential Duties
- Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in product.
- Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined codes or other designated orders – for example, by type, size, color, etc.
- Pull customer orders from stock according to purchase orders and/or shipping tickets.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipping using common carriers; check packing lists.
- Record amounts of items received or distributed in a computerized inventory control system.
- Conduct cycle counts.
- Operate equipment (forklift, pallet movers) as necessary.
- Use company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures.
- Travel to various Parker store locations to serve as back-up support.
- Ability to complete assigned Parker Learning Institute (PLI) courses.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make suggestions for customer solutions.
- Ability to work with the store manager, the outside sales team, and manufacturer representatives.
- Ability to work with walk-in and telephone customers to help solve their industrial and mobile hose/fitting needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, shipping manifests, packing lists and/or shipping lists.
- Basic computer skills such as data entry and using Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse activities and inventory control is a plus.
- Experience with multi-carrier shipping systems is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass an MVR driving check.
- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: Inventory Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Payroll Systems.
Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a medium work warehouse environment, including frequent movement about the warehouse/office, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting 50+ pounds.
Work Environment
The work environment for this position is typical for a warehouse, including occasional exposure to loud noise and outside temperatures of heat/cold. The environment may occasionally include exposure to m oving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and working on scaffolding or high places.
