Job summary

Pilkington North America is seeking a warehouse associate to assemble crates, stock materials, and prepare items for shipment at our Columbus area facility. The role requires lifting 35–45 lbs regularly, plus occasional heavier loads, and the ability to work in facility temperatures similar to the outdoors.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be proficient in English, and able to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Must lift 35-45 lbs daily, up to 70 lbs frequently.
• Able to use hand tools.
• Must work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the facility.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Good customer relations and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Completes other duties as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Packaging - Assemble wood crates and metal racks.
• Disassemble wood and corrugated boxes and dispose of them.
• Stock variety of packaging materials for production use.
• Uncrating – Inspect & open wood and corrugated crates to be hung on shelves.
• Look up part information in SAP on desktop computer.
• Redist: Repack damaged crates.
• Redist: Quality and inventory management.
• Banding - Working with wooden or metal crates getting product ready to be shipped

Primary Duties:

• Packaging - Assemble wood crates and metal racks.

Qualifications Required:

• Without assistance, must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds on a frequent/daily basis
• Able to use hand tools
• Must be able to work in temperatures similar to outdoors within the facility
• Excellent attendance record.
• Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).
• Good customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work both independently and as a team member.
• Completes other duties as necessary.

Qualifications Desired:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years prior warehouse general labor experience.
• Working knowledge of departmental safety, quality and operational procedures.

Essential Functions:

Hourly Pay: $18.50

Schedule: Sunday Night - Thursday Night, 10:45pm - 6:45am, plus some mandatory overtime starting at 8:45pm
