Primary Purpose

As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform distribution center shipping/receiving functions, playing a vital role in moving products accurately and safely throughout the Distribution Center.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks as assigned by supervisor or designee
• Complete all related shipping and receiving documentation
• Select and palletize grocery, produce, meat, frozen food, and dairy orders for shipment to retail stores accurately
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Conduct pre-operational checks of equipment according to company policy
• Maintain good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and debris-free
• Recommend process modifications to maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs

Qualifications

• Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable
• Ability to use a personal computer for data entry and research
• Motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment

Preferred Requirements

• Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs repetitively
• Ability to meet production standards
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Flexibility to work required schedules
• Experience working in warehouse conditions (cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered trucks)
