Job Description
- Operate powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment daily.
- Use handheld RF scanners daily.
- Apply good judgment to follow instructions, routines, methods, or practices, making minor decisions as needed.
- Participate in special tasks such as 6S as assigned.
- Perform functions related to shipping, receiving, storage of parts, materials, and products.
- Prepare shipments by verifying materials and quantities, packing, and loading trucks.
- Receive shipments, unload trucks, check for completeness and damage, record shipments, and organize materials for storage.
- Prevent damage to equipment, materials, and products through careful operation and inspection.
- Maintain a safety-first mindset to prevent injuries, understanding the hazards involved.
- Work hours are 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm on 2nd shift, with a $1.35/hour shift differential; base pay is $23.16/hour.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic math skills, including decimals and fractions, and the ability to interpret data and reports.
- Attention to detail and alertness during repetitive or diversified tasks.
- Valid OSHA certification for powered industrial trucks.
- Proficiency in English reading and writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems like SAP, AS400, Red Prairie.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 60 pounds using proper techniques.
- Operate RF scanners and material handling equipment.
