Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking candidates for Warehouse Operations in Mississippi to handle materials and product distribution in a fast-paced environment. You will perform picking, packing, and order preparation while adhering to quality and safety standards and participating in cross-training initiatives.

The role requires physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds and operating or learning to operate material handling equipment, with potential for career growth within a large healthcare

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 ft regularly.
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or POS systems, a plus.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Material Handling Equipment experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders, including picking, quality checks, packing, and shipment readiness.
• Cross-training in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and perform inventory tasks.

Warehouse Operations

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty.
• Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
