Shift: Afternoon (2nd shift), 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts - Days and hours are subject to change.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, assists in maintaining the efficient operation of storeroom and distribution areas in acquiring, storing, controlling, and delivering material throughout the hospital. Maintains adequate inventory levels through ordering, put away, and dispensing of supplies.

Essential Job Functions

1. Ensures all receiving functions are carried out, including unpacking, inspecting, verifying, reconciling shipments, recording damages, and performing receiving operations via computer and handheld devices.
2. Maintains storeroom and distribution area, organizing receipts, storing items properly, ensuring a clean environment, and adjusting stock locations as needed.
3. Completes delivery functions, ensuring timely delivery of freight, filling requisitions, and operating industrial equipment safely.
4. Manages inventory accuracy through reporting shortages, performing cycle counts, rotating stock, and verifying physical counts.
5. Maintains delivery vehicles and equipment, performing routine checks and informing supervisors of servicing needs.
6. Organizes deliveries, coordinating with vendors and customers, and handling special packages like air and refrigerated items.
7. Distributes supplies and equipment to clinical areas, replenishing carts and packs as needed.
8. Adheres to organizational standards and supports the mission, vision, and values.
9. Performs par stock checks and replenishments, reports barcode scanning issues, and attends educational programs.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or higher.
• Experience with inventory management systems and handheld computers.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a delivery truck, forklift, and electric pallet jack, with training within three months if not already certified.
• Basic math, keyboard proficiency, and knowledge of office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Recent related training or experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check.
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License (or obtain within 30 days of hire).

Additional Information

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but involves coaching and mentoring.

Work hours vary based on operational needs, including shift rotations, standby, and on-call duties. Local travel between sites may be required.
