Job summary

Qualifications

• Preference for a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and picks materials as needed.
• Operates heavy motorized material handling equipment.
• Moves material or merchandise to and from storage facilities.
• Examines materials for damage.
• Stores and stacks items in established storage rules.
• Counts and arranges inventory as needed.
• Assembles, prepares, and checks merchandise to be loaded onto trucks.
• Ensures shipments are properly labeled and packed.
• Obtains related documentation for each order.
• Ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Mixes and weighs out ingredients to meet orders.
• Sets up and starts weigh-up or packaging machinery.
• Remains aware of issues with machinery and processes.
• Supplies production laborers with materials and keeps equipment operational.
• Other duties as assigned.

DescriptionThis position is responsible for weighing and packaging materials in the production department as well as loading and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, processing inbound and outbound freight bills , and completing any other tasks related to Shipping and Receiving .

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday (8AM-4PM)

Responsibilities

• Assembles, prepares, and checks merchandise to be loaded onto trucks

• Obtains related documentation for each order
• Ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area
• Mixes and weighs out ingredients to meet customer orders and specifications
• Sets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures
• Remains aware of any issues or concerns with machinery and processes
• Supplies production laborers with appropriate materials and keeps all equipment operational
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred forklift experience
• Preferred previous manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Regularly

• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl,
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
• Talk and hear to coordinate and operate equipment
• Use of safety equipment as dictated by the work (safety glasses, safety shoes, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts

Frequently

• Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Work in temperature extremes, wet and/or humid conditions, with dust, fumes, airborne particles
