RTP Company is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate for the 1st shift to weigh, package, label, load/unload trucks, and handle inbound/outbound freight. The role focuses on accuracy, safety, and timely material handling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment and follow standardized processes.
• Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Basic computer skills and attention to safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace with good attendance.
• Willingness to work overtime, including every other weekend if required.
• Must pass forklift and respirator fit tests and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Document and record incoming raw material information.
• Load, unload, and pick materials as needed.
• Operate heavy material handling equipment.
• Move materials to and from storage facilities.
• Inspect for damage and confirm correct ingredients are delivered.
• Label, pack, and prepare shipments for loading onto trucks.
• Obtain necessary documentation for each order.
• Provide materials to production laborers and keep equipment operational.
• Follow safety procedures and warehouse rules.

Brief Description

This position is responsible for weighing and packaging materials in the production department as well as loading and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, processing inbound and outbound freight bills, and completing any other tasks related to Shipping and Receiving.

This position is responsible for weighing and packaging materials in the production department as well as loading and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, processing inbound and outbound freight bills, and completing any other tasks related to Shipping and Receiving.

Work Schedule

1st Shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Documents/ Record Incoming raw material information
• Loads, unloads, and picks materials as needed
• Operates heavy motorized material handling equipment
• Moves material or merchandise to and from storage facilities
• Examines materials for damage
• Stores and stacks items in accordance with established storage rules and methods
• Counts and arranges inventory as needed
• Assembles, prepares, and checks merchandise to be loaded onto trucks
• Ensures shipments are properly labeled and packed
• Obtains related documentation for each order
• Ensures correct ingredients are delivered to the work area
• Mixes and weighs out ingredients to meet customer orders and specifications
• Sets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures
• Remains aware of any issues or concerns with machinery and processes
• Supplies production laborers with appropriate materials and keeps all equipment operational
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred forklift experience
• Preferred previous manufacturing experience

• Talk and hear to coordinate and operate equipment
• Use of safety equipment as dictated by the work (safety glasses, safety shoes, respirators, face shields, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)

• Work in temperature extremes, wet and/or humid conditions, with dust, fumes, airborne particles
