Job summary

Pete & Gerry's is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate to support facility operations by managing inventory, stocking eggs, rotating stock, and loading/unloading trailers. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure smooth operations across the facility.

The role emphasizes adherence to food safety, process efficiency, and animal welfare commitments. A sign-on bonus is offered as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving and inventory control.
• Ability to operate forklifts and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• On time punctuality and good attendance
• Rotate inventory with the older dates in front
• Fill out pick tickets correctly with the date, time, jack # and initials
• Fill out daily the incoming materials log for eggs, chemicals or materials
• Fill out trailer inspection forms completely and correctly for each load
• Keep coolers swept, clean and organized utilizing downtime
• Maintain electric jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks, including charging them at the end of each day
• Comply with all food safety procedures, regulatory requirements and process efficiency
• Report any food safety issues to any Manager
• Follow all workplace safety procedures per safety training
