Job summary

Schylling, an established toy company, seeks a Warehouse Associate for 2nd shift in Lakewood, WA. You will unload containers, receive and organize inventory, and pull, pack and ship orders to meet daily fulfillment needs.

You will use barcode scanners, perform value-added packaging tasks, and help maintain accuracy and safety in a fast-paced environment while supporting team goals.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in related field.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and push/pull up to 60 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Keep safety a priority.
• Unload containers, receive, sort, and put away inventory.
• Pull, pack and ship products based on daily orders.
• Use scanners to read bar codes on products and/or pull customer orders with paper pick tickets.
• Perform value-added services activities (unboxing/boxing, labeling, stickering, packaging, assembly).
• Work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining order accuracy.
• Monitor product quality and report issues to eliminate safety problems.
• Utilize continuous improvement mindset and troubleshoot problems.
• Handle products up to 50 pounds safely.
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area.
• Fulfill other duties to support company goals.

About the Job

Schylling is an award-winning toy company that has been putting smiles on the faces of children, and children-at-heart, for over 50 years. Our warehouse operations are in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift as our operations continue to grow. The most suitable individual will be able to complete the following:

Responsibilities:

• Keep safety a priority.
• Unload containers, receive, sort, and put away inventory.
• Pull, pack and ship products based on daily orders.
• Use scanners to read bar codes on products and/or pull customer orders with paper pick tickets.
• Perform value-added services activities included, but not limited to, unboxing/boxing, labeling, stickering, packaging, assembly of products to meet fulfillment requirements.
• Work in high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining order accuracy.
• Monitor product quality and reports any problems to eliminate safety issues.
• Utilize continuous improvement mindset and troubleshoot problems.
• Use safe practices and methods to handle products heavier than 50 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area.
• Any other duties needed to help fulfill our mission.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
• 1 + year of work experience in related field.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable).
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards.
• Must be able to report to work as assigned.
• Can work on a team that supports each other to reach our customer/company goals.
• Can stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, climb stairs, and reach frequently during shifts.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must consent to a background check.

The base hourly range for this position is $18.50-$19.50. Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.
