Job summary

Industrial Fabricators Inc. in Gastonia, NC is seeking a warehouse picker to pull and prepare parts for shipment. You will read picks, determine quantities, locate bins, verify against drawings, and pack parts into boxes or on cardboard.

The role requires basic math, adherence to safety rules, and physical stamina to stand, bend, lift 10–25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Overtime may be required based on customer demand.

Qualifications

• Math skills including addition, subtraction, and counting to fifty.
• Ability to apply common sense to understand and carry out instructions, in written, oral or diagram form.

Individual must be able to calculate using addition and subtraction and count to fifty. (Basic Math)

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties listed above. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand while working, reach with hands and arms, grasp with hands, talk, and hear. The employee is required to bend/twist to move parts in working area. Ability to lift/move 10 to 25 pounds regularly, lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally required.

**Department Hours are subject to change based on customer demands! ** Employees in this department should be prepared as hours change and can do so by request of the plant manager due to customer demands**.

General Hours 1 st shift (8 hours) 7:30 am – 4pm or until the work is complete.

Overtime and weekends are required when requested by our department manager, plant manager, due to customer demand. We have been known to work Monday – Sunday. This department does not typically work Sundays, but they can ask should a customer or our production drive us to need to do so.

The key is communication!! You must be in constant communication with you lead or supervisor to know what hours are needed in your department each day.
