Caterpillar Griffin Warehouse in Griffin, GA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate sit-down forklifts, read orders, perform material handling, and help fulfill customer parts.

• Record material movement on daily production sheets.
• Attach labels and identify materials as required.

What You Will Do:

Caterpillar's Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is seeking talented Warehouse Associates at our Griffin Warehouse located at 375 Green Valley Road, Griffin, GA 30224.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating heavy equipment including sit down forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and overhead hoists. Keep in mind, not all available positions operate equipment.
• Perform material handling and warehousing functions such as unloading, sorting, putting away, picking, packing and shipping parts, materials and supplies.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey load to destination or signal crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
• Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Clamp sections of portable conveyor together or place conveyor sections on blocks or boxes to facilitate movement of materials or products.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and clean work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
• Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Develop a culture that works to achieve and maintain an accident-free workplace.
• Develop a culture that works to achieve and maintain ongoing housekeeping excellence.
• Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time.

• Starting wage is $19.89/hour (paid bi-weekly) for 1st & 3rd shifts.
• Night shift premium of $2.00 per hour for 3rd shift.

Additional Details:

Shifts:

• -1st Shift: 6:30am - 5pm Monday - Thursday
• -3rd Shift: 7:30pm - 6:00am or 8pm - 6:30am (Sunday night - Thursday morning) with overtime hours 7:30pm - 4:00pm (Thursday night - Friday morning)
