Job summary

Southern Fasteners & Supply is hiring for a full-time Warehouse Associate to support shipping operations at our Winston-Salem, NC location. You will pull, pack, stage and ship orders, log inventory adjustments, and coordinate carrier pickups.

We value accuracy, reliability and teamwork, with a focus on safety as you operate and maintain warehouse equipment. Applicants should be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Shipping.
• Pull, pack and stage customer’s orders for shipping.
• Report all inventory adjustments to manager.
• Coordinate pick up of shipments with approved carriers.
• Ship customer orders.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Operate and maintain equipment.
• Receiving
• Receive incoming product.
• Inspect Level “A” product.
• Write up, tag and log non-conforming Level “A” product.
• Forward Level “C” inspection product to QA
• Write up, tag and log non-conforming Level “C” product.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Operate and maintain equipment.

Must Haves:

• Must be able to operate a scale.
• Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds.
• Valid Driver's License with clean record

Preferred experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in non-climate-controlled warehouse (Preferred)
• Fastener: 1 year (Preferred)

Skills:

• General math (including fractions) and problem-solving skills
• Must be computer literate and ability to acclimate to PC based order entry system
• Product knowledge preferred or willing to learn - fasteners, bolts, nuts, screws and hardware
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
