Job summary

Fastenal Co. seeks a Part-time Warehouse Associate for our Winston-Salem branch. You will support daily operations, inventory, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced retail/distribution setting.

Responsibilities include receiving, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and occasional local deliveries. You’ll work closely with the team to maintain accuracy, safety, and efficiency while supporting branch goals.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and driving eligibility for company vehicle use.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficient computer skills and multitasking ability.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and customer focused.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Lift 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs with assistance; follow safety rules.
• Pass drug screen where required.

Responsibilities

Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW:

Embark on your journey as a Part-time Warehouse Associate, where you're at the heart of our operations. You'll not only handle the ebb and flow of products as they enter and leave the facility, but you'll dive into the world of inventory management for a leader in industrial distribution. This position is for our branch located at 8157 N Pointe Blvd, Winston Salem, NC 27105. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Managing and maintaining branch inventory
• Receiving, picking, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting inventory
• Making local deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong sense of urgency

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience receiving, shipping, sorting or managing inventory
