Job summary

Custom Truck One Source, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The role involves daily shipping/receiving, forklift handling, inventory control, and ensuring accurate stock levels.

You will work with the PTA Manager and team to maintain safety, accuracy, and productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Prior parts or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory systems preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to obtain it is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily shipping and receiving processes.
• Verify received products against packing slips and POs.
• Load/unload materials with forklift or manually.
• Replenish shelves and move stock between locations.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain clean, organized warehouse.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Custom Truck One Source's (CTOS) Parts, Tools and Accessories Division supports the electric utility industry and companies by providing high-quality tools and equipment required for testing, repairing, and refurbishing PPE and tools. CTOS is the first true single-source provider or specialized truck and heavy equipment solutions, offering a vast rental fleet, new and used equipment sales, aftermarket parts and tooling supply, world-class service, customization and remanufacturing.

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Associate in our Wilkes-Barre, PA location.

Summary

The position will work with other team members to provide timely product inventory controls, as well as other means of support. This individual will communicate with the PTA Manager daily, as well as assist with any necessary warehouse functions and requires a high degree of safety, accuracy and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to the established process for daily shipping and receiving of all incoming and outbound freight.
• Verify product received matches packing slip and/or purchase order and receive in system.
• Load or unload materials manually or with a forklift, on or off pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
• Replenish shelves with incoming stock orders.
• Perform parts/tools runs between locations and/or customers, in company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver parts as needed.
• Pull and package items for local and out of town deliveries.
• Assist with year-end physical inventory and cycle counts.
• Responsible for keeping warehouse organized and clean.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Previous parts or warehouse experience
• Experience with an inventory management system
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and strive for continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of work.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
• Ability to operate both sit down and standup forklifts and obtain Forklift Certification
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Setting priorities and adapting to changing work priorities
• Must be self-sufficient and driven in order to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Must have a strong attendance record.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Proficient on a computer and possess the ability to learn new programs quickly. Must be able to use Microsoft Office package (Email, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Working Conditions

• Able to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands.
• Majority of work performed in the warehouse and outside.
• Safety shoes are required, safety glasses may be required for some tasks.
• May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
• Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet jack, overhead jobs, and cranes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see things in close proximity whether through natural or corrected vision.
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.
• Lifting – The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent lifting, moderate to heavy (50 lbs plus requires team lifting), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42", frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-10 hour day, and up to 50 hours per week
