JOB OVERVIEW JOB TITLE Warehouse Associate DEPARTMENT Warehouse LOCATION Warrenton Oil Co. Corporate Office REPORTS TO Warehouse Manager GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION This position receives store orders and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
• Assisting in snow removal from property and keeping property safe for employees to walk on (use of snow-melt, etc.)
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe.
• Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Deliver products to company locations as required
• Sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders as well as counting physical inventory.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
• Assisting with general maintenance of trucks, such as oil changes
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach.
• Advise the Company of any actions/situations that pose a threat to any employee, customer, or guests.
• Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Job may require other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & TRAINING
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• A Class E driver license is not required but would be preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS WORK ENVIRONMENT
• This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
• This role is required to routinely operate heavy machinery such as; skid loaders, forklifts, tractors, and company vehicles.
• This role is required to routinely operate additional machinery such as; lawn mowers, chainsaw, and weed eaters.
• And standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
  
  

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, balance, and reach.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
• Clear verbal communication skills to interact with co-workers and answer questions.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
