GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position receives store orders and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
• Assisting in snow removal from property and keeping property safe for employees to walk on (use of snow-melt, etc.)
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe.
• Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Deliver products to company locations as required
• Sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders as well as counting physical inventory.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
• Assisting with general maintenance of trucks, such as oil changes
• Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach.
• Advise the Company of any actions/situations that pose a threat to any employee, customer, or guests.
• Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
• Job may require other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & TRAINING
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• A Class E driver license is not required but would be preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
WORK ENVIRONMENT• This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
• This role is required to routinely operate heavy machinery such as; skid loaders, forklifts, tractors, and company vehicles.
• This role is required to routinely operate additional machinery such as; lawn mowers, chainsaw, and weed eaters.
• And standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, balance, and reach.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
• Clear verbal communication skills to interact with co-workers and answer questions.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
