Job summary

Hood Industries, a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber, plywood, moldings and related wood products, seeks a Warehouse Associate at the Detroit, MI facility. You will pull orders for next-day delivery or pickup, unload inbound freight, and ensure accurate inventory in bin locations.

Qualifying candidates have at least 1 year of warehousing experience, forklift ability, RF device knowledge, and can lift 50–100 lbs. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits described in the posting.

Job description

Hood Distribution is looking for a Warehouse Associate at the Detroit, MI facility. Hood Distribution is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber, plywood, moldings, and related wood products whose customers include cabinet shops, millwork houses, retail lumber yards, and similar businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Proficiently pulling customer orders for next day delivery and customer pick-up.
• Effectively unloading inbound freight by either hand or forklift, verifying the dropped-off material, and entering items into the system.
• Restocking and verifying inventory in proper bin locations.
• Maintaining a healthy warehouse environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Proven warehouse experience (minimum 1 year)
• Prior experience and ability to operate a forklift (minimum 1 year)
• Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) device and computer tools
• Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
• Excellent Customer Service skills

Salary Range:

• $19.00 - $21.00
