Job summary

Sierra Forest Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Guilderland Center, NY area. This full-time onsite role involves day shifts and handling shipping, inventory, and safety procedures to ensure accurate orders and efficient warehouse operations.

You will operate a forklift, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain organized inventory while collaborating with team members to meet demanding deadlines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and the ability to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift license required.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Lumber or panel experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push approximately 75lbs repetitively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and stack products using a forklift.
• Prepare order for shipment, ensure the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Handle freight and secure loads in accordance with safety requirements.
• Tag, mark, or label stock items and ensure correct storage location.
• Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Key updated inventory into the ERP system.
• Report any discrepancies in inventory to management.
• Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
