Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate, handle and maintain equipment safely while meeting production and quality standards.

You will pick orders, load/unload trucks, participate in inventory, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company SOPs while maintaining accurate paperwork and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent.
• Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and follow complex operations and procedures.
• MS Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Know equipment and process operation; handle, transfer, ship, receive and store chemical material.
• Pick orders, load and unload trucks.
• Participate in inventory process.
• Communicate safety and equipment needs as required.
• Complete required paperwork including shipping/receiving and inventory sheets.
• Provide routine maintenance to process equipment and instrumentation.
• Adhere to product quality and safety standards; report any incidents.
• Operate safely following SOPs and all environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as needed.

About The Job

Operate, handle and maintain equipment safely while achieving production and quality standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for, but not limited to knowing the equipment and process operation; handle, transfer, ship, receive and store chemical material
• Pick orders, load and unload trucks
• Participate in inventory process
• Communicate compliance, safety, and equipment needs as personally identified
• Accurately and completely fill out required paperwork. Including the recording of operating data such as shipping and receiving paperwork, and inventory sheets, inspection reports, etc. as requested.
• Provide routine minor maintenance to process equipment and instrumentation
• Apply all product quality and safety standards as well as report any product safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up (applicable to positions working in accordance with specific plant or company certifications).
• Ability to safely operate independently while adhering to all company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)s and
• Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety and health regulations
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties, as needed

About You

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent experience
• Ability to safely operate an industrial fork truck required
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate and understand (both written and verbal) complex and/or technical operations and procedures
• Ability to comply with all mandatory Environmental, Health, & Safety and process specific training and participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team in Level A PPE [Exclude for Minneapolis and New York locations]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, reaching, and pulling
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs and ladders
• Ability to wear PPE and equipment such as safety shoes, face shields, safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, gloves and a hard hat; chemical suits and a hair/beard net when required
• Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift
• Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements (for respirator use, SQF-certified environments, etc.)
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Willing to work around chemicals and industrial machinery

Expected Compensation

$20.00/hr. + 5% Bonus Eligibility
