Job summary

Bates Electric Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, and inventory management at our Tampa facility. The role involves verifying shipments, organizing stock, and preparing items for delivery to job sites.

Responsibilities include operating material handling equipment, delivering supplies to commercial sites, and maintaining tools in good condition. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments.
• Sort and store materials according to warehouse plan.
• Prepare merchandise for shipment as required.
• Deliver materials to commercial job sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Assist with routine building maintenance and site cleanup.
• Report to Warehouse Manager.

Shipping & Receiving

• Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments
• Sorts and places materials according to predetermined warehouse plan
• Prepares merchandise for shipment, as required

Inventory

• Maintains accurate inventory records of materials, tools and equipment
• Completes requisition forms to order additional equipment and supplies
• Deliver materials and tools commercial job sites
• Clean off commercial job sites at close of projects
• Prefer experience with loading/hauling equipment (small excavators, lifts, etc.)
• Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc
• Check in supplies from job close outs
• Assist with routine building maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools
• Run for administrative issues (Pick up prints, deliver permits, etc.)
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads
• Reports to Warehouse Manager

Compensation package:

• Position is hourly with the rate reviewed during the interview process **
• Wage/performance reviewed annually on anniversary date of hire
• Health insurance plan that pays one half of your premium following completion of your 90 day introductory period. Our current carrier is Florida Blue.
