The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Job description

Cornerstone Tool & Fastener is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Warehouse Associate for its Tallahassee location. This role will be primarily responsible for Warehouse Associate duties while fulfilling the requirements of the Delivery Driver role as needed. Success in this position relies on the individual’s ability to manage time effectively, demonstrate strong communication skills, and adapt to meet the day-to-day needs of the branch.

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities (Primary Role):

• Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing incoming products in the warehouse.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment.
• Maintain inventory and ensure products are stored in the correct locations.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move items as needed.
• Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stock rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
• Must be able to work in computer system when needed.

Delivery Driver Responsibilities (As Needed):

• Delivering customer orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Making inner store product transfers along with outside customer job site deliveries
• Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customer locations.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods as per the scheduled routes.
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling and secure packaging.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure safe driving and delivery.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required)
• Previous delivery and warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This role primarily is spent in a warehouse environment with some time spent in a vehicle. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift up to 20 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. While in a warehouse setting, the employee may be exposed to the outdoor weather temperature and loud noise.
