Job summary

Lansing Building Products is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Sterling, VA. You will greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload trucks, using RF scanners to move and track materials in the TWL Warehouse Management System. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and safe handling of heavy items.

Typical day runs 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential location variation. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, forklift familiarity a plus; CDL reimbursement programs exist in

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience preferred.
• High energy and integrity are essential.
• Experience with building materials is desirable.
• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 70+ lbs.
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse tech is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Live our mission statement centered on our values of respect, service, and excellence
• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload customer and company trucks
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through our Warehouse Management System (TWL)
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received
• Lift and move boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business
• Strong, positive attitude

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
