Cable-East, Inc. in Statham, GA, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations for telecommunications projects. This full-time, hourly position handles receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials, tools, and equipment for field crews, reports to the Warehouse and Inventory Control Manager, and works Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m. You will pull and stage orders, verify item numbers, maintain inventory, and update ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of warehouse operations experience.
• Experience with inventory management software.
• Forklift certification preferred; training must be completed before operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Order fulfillment: safely handle materials and stage orders.
• Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and report shortages or damaged items.
• Update ERP or designated software as orders are staged and loaded.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to management.
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.
• Load and unload materials using approved equipment when trained.
• Keep the warehouse and work areas clean and organized.

The Warehouse Associate receives, stores, organizes, issues, and tracks materials, tools, and equipment used by field crews. This position is based at the Statham, Georgia office and reports directly to the Warehouse and Inventory Control Manager.This position is regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. As a condition of employment, this position may be required to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operational and business needs require.ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment:Safely and accurately handle materials and finished goods throughout the order-fulfillment process, following established procedures to prevent injury, loss, and damage.Pick, verify, and stage orders by quantity, item, and job number.Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.Maintain accurate inventory counts and report shortages or damaged materials.Accurately update designated ERP or other software systems as orders are staged and loaded.Monitor stock levels and communicate material shortages to management.Telecommunications Material Handling:Identify, handle, stage, and issue telecommunications construction materials and equipment, which may include fiber-optic cable, conduit, handholes, pedestals, enclosures, traffic-control supplies, and related tools.Confirm materials are assigned to the correct project or job number and promptly report damaged, missing, or incorrectly issued items.Verify project or job numbers against the applicable material request, pick ticket, or system record before materials are staged, issued, or loaded.Warehouse Operations:Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.Assist with weekly physical inventory counts to verify stock quantities, reconcile discrepancies, and identify potential losses.Organize and secure finished goods in designated warehouse locations according to management direction and established storage procedures.Load and unload materials using approved material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks, only when trained and authorized to operate the equipment.Keep warehouse, yard, and break room clean and organized.Assist with general warehouse duties to support daily operations.Position RequirementsFormal Education & Certification:High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential.Valid Class C driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, if driving a Company vehicle is an essential function of the position.Forklift certification preferred; required training and authorization must be completed before operating a forklift or other powered industrial truck.Knowledge & Experience:1-2 years’ experience in warehouse operations including pulling & staging orders for delivery.Experience with inventory management software.Qualifications & Characteristics:Ability to pass both pre-hire and ongoing random drug screenings.Applicants must be able to wear personal protective equipment (“PPE”).Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to safely enter and exit delivery vehicles and, when assigned, operate a vehicle for the duration required by the work schedule, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to stand, walk, and perform work in warehouse, material-yard, and outdoor jobsite environments for shifts of up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.Work Environment:Work is performed in warehouse, material-yard, and outdoor jobsite environments and may involve exposure to moving equipment, dust, noise, humidity, precipitation, and seasonal temperature changes.
