CoWorx Staffing is seeking experienced Warehouse Associates for 1st Shift (5:30 AM – 2:00 PM) at a new distribution facility in Smyrna, DE. You will support shipping/receiving, unload trucks, verify orders, and maintain an organized, safe warehouse environment.

Candidates should have basic English, basic computer skills, and be flexible to work various shifts based on freight volumes. Prior dock/warehouse experience and handheld scanner use are preferred.

Job Description

CoWorx Staffing is looking for experienced Warehouse Associates for 1ST SHIFT (5:30 AM – 2 PM) for a national logistics company with a new distribution facility in Smyrna, DE.
As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll play an important role in making sure freight gets where it needs to go. You’ll work alongside a top-caliber management team that understands the transportation industry.
1st Shift – 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM – Flexibility on days of the week[br[ Pay Range – $18.00 -$18.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, verifying incoming merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processing.
• Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine materials and products to be moved, picked, distributed, or shipped.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and accessible warehouse environment for employees, customers, and operational activities.
• Complete all assigned duties in a safe manner while adhering to company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Assemble products and participate in physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory verification activities as required.
• Conduct driver check calls to monitor shipment status and ensure loads are on schedule for timely delivery.
• Verify load data and supporting documentation prior to marking shipments as delivered to support accurate accounting and billing processes.
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring shipments arrive on time, in good condition, and in compliance with customer requirements.

Desired Background/Skills

• Basic English written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse technology systems.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, based on freight volumes and operational needs.
• Previous dock or warehouse experience within the transportation or logistics industry preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently.
• Experience using handheld scanners and other inventory tracking equipment.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and follow instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Ability to safely load and unload trucks while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
