Job Summary
The Paintline Driver safely and efficiently transports completed parts from Fabrication (FAB) to the correct shipping, staging, or delivery area based on the assigned storage locations (SLoc). The role supports continuous material flow by verifying each load, following defined routes, and promptly communicating discrepancies. SAP transactions are not a routine part of this position; however, the employee must be flexible to learn SAP and cross-train in other Tech II warehouse functions as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport completed parts from FAB to the correct destination according to the assigned SLoc and established material routes.
  • Verify the material identification, part number, quantity, labels, paperwork, and destination before moving each load.
  • Deliver material to the designated location without damage, loss, misrouting, or unnecessary delay.
  • Maintain proper segregation of material by plant, SLoc, order, and destination.
  • Follow all established traffic routes, dock procedures, pedestrian safety requirements, and powered industrial truck standards.
  • Complete required equipment inspections before use and report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns immediately.
  • Communicate missing or incorrect labels, unclear destinations, damaged material, shortages, and other discrepancies to FAB or warehouse leadership.
  • Maintain organized and unobstructed aisles, docks, staging areas, and drop off locations.
  • Coordinate with FAB, warehouse, shipping, and production teams to support priorities and prevent material flow interruptions.
  • Support other Tech II warehouse activities as assigned and cross-train in SAP, scanning, material handling, replenishment, put away, and related processes.
  • Follow all safety, quality, 5S, standard work, and attendance requirements, including scheduled overtime when required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Safely operate required powered industrial equipment, with current certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to read and understand material labels, part numbers, quantities, SLocs, shipping documents, and destination information.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow defined material routing requirements.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with FAB, warehouse, shipping, and production teams.
  • Ability to identify and promptly elevate routing, labeling, quantity, material condition, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Flexibility to work across warehouse functions and adjust to changing operational priorities.
Performance Expectations

All warehouse employees are expected to support overtime around physical inventory dates to complete pre-inventory activities and ensure the warehouse is fully prepared. Overtime may be scheduled during weekdays (after the shift end) and weekends based on operational needs and inventory progress. Employees are expected to plan accordingly and work the overtime communicated by warehouse leadership.

Your flexibility and participation are essential to completing pre-counts, audits, inventory organization, discrepancy resolution, and other required preparation activities accurately and on time.

Specific schedules will be communicated by your supervisor. Any concerns or conflicts must be discussed with your supervisor as soon as possible.

  • Deliver material to the correct destination based on the assigned SLoc.
  • Complete material movements safely and within the expected delivery time.
  • Prevent material damage, misrouting, loss, and unnecessary accumulation in FAB or staging areas.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe travel routes, docks, and drop off locations.
  • Promptly communicate discrepancies that could affect production, inventory accuracy, or customer shipments.
