SurfacePrep Group is seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations while learning our products, customers, and business. This role offers growth potential into customer service and inside sales over time.

You will maintain inventory records, coordinate movements, and execute daily plans, while ensuring safe, efficient handling of pallets and shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand product codes and terminology.
• Two years of warehouse experience with forklift exposure preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse databases.
• Coordinate movement, storage, and shipment of products within the warehouse.
• Execute daily production and shipping plans and organize excess stock.
• Optimize storage space and adjust product placement for flow.
• Verify inventory for outgoing shipments through checks and counts.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed.
• Complete documentation and reports for warehouse activities.
• Answer calls and provide support; communicate with 3PLs.
• Process inquiries using the P21 system.

SurfacePrep is seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to support day-to-day warehouse operations while learning our products, customers, and business. What You'll Do

• Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse databases.
• Coordinate and schedule the movement, storage, and shipment of products within the warehouse.
• Execute daily production and shipping plans, including organizing excess stock.
• Optimize storage space by adjusting product placement and flow of finished goods.
• Verify inventory availability for outgoing shipments through record checks or physical counts.
• Identify slow-moving inventory and, with approval, arrange for its removal.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to store goods and load shipments as needed.
• Repack, restack, and manually handle pallets of finished products when required.
• Complete necessary documentation, forms, and reports for warehouse activities.
• Perform general warehouse duties and assist with other tasks as assigned.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide support as needed.
• Manage communications with 3PL’s and dispatch programs via email and phone.
• Process item and inventory inquiries using the P21 system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Deliver products to internal departments as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Minimum of two years of warehouse experience, including at least one year of forklift operating experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand company product codes and terminology.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

To perform the essential functions of this position, the employee must be able to:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and position materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Manually maneuver fiber drums and other materials throughout the warehouse.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Safely operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment around forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Work safely in varying warehouse conditions, including exposure to dust, noise, temperature fluctuations, and moving machinery.
• Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and respiratory protection, as required.
• Comply with warehouse safety requirements, including wearing utility pants/work trousers and closed-toe shoes at all times.
