Purpose of Position
The purpose of this role is to work with fellow co‑workers to process orders in a timely manner to meet customers’ needs. This role requires learning all positions within the order processing area of the Warehouse.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for locating and picking orders, packing merchandise, shipping orders as per company standard, performing and accurately recording inventory counts, and accurately using warehouse computer software. The position also involves general warehouse housekeeping and loss prevention measures in adherence to all Company Policy standards.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Accurate and efficient use of computer applications and software including WMS, payroll system, keyboard, and handheld scanner.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized and safe.
- Strong desire to meet deadlines and ship orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Confirm availability of items upon orders to be shipped by verifying in warehouse records.
- Pack orders according to company standards, using appropriate packing materials specific for the merchandise being shipped.
- Observe product damage and defects and take action to correct or escalate to appropriate personnel.
- Abide by all company policies including those related to safety, time and attendance and dress code.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehouse procedures.
- Complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate openly and respectfully with assigned team to increase engagement.

Key Skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work with computers, scanners and material handling equipment.
Experience / Education
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have at least one year of experience working in a high-volume/variation distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Must be accustomed to an environment where attainment of goals, improvement of skills is normal.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, reach, and climb a ladder for most of the shift to perform job duties accurately.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and must be able to perform computer work from a standing position.
