Job description

Position Purpose:

Perform general warehouse tasks including but not limited to picking, packing, handling, product put‑away, pre‑kitting, unloading, cleaning, etc. based on the volume and type of work available and within the efficiency expectations of the specified work.

Responsibilities:

• Use handheld scanners to pick and fill orders from stock.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System to enter order details and ship orders.
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by hand or with equipment.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves and pallets.
• Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with product.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Organize and wrap product s and pallets.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Handle delicate and sensitive products with care, and report damage or missing inventory to supervisors.
• Ensure the workspace is free of debris and safety hazards.
• Be attentive and practice the guidelines of warehouse safety.
• Take notice of any issues that might be slowing down workflow and report it to supervisors.
• Assist in various areas of the warehouse as needed.

Nature and Scope:

• Train with Team Leads and experienced associates.
• Maintain a basic understanding of Warehouse Management System and handheld scanners.
• Work in multiple departments within the warehouse as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Dependable attendance.
• Successful communication.

Environment:

• Prolonged periods of standing and moving while carrying or pushing product and equipment.
• This position will be done in a heated warehouse.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds often.
