Position: Shipping & Receiving

Reports To: Warehouse Operations Manager
Division: Operations
Classification: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Location: Ramsey, MN

Job Summary: The Shipping & Receiving associate is responsible for shipping and receiving materials and equipment from vendors, staging materials for jobs, and maintaining warehouse organization. The role requires adherence to company core values, safety standards, and inventory procedures. Compensation is based on hourly pay, with overtime paid after 40 hours, managed weekly and during peak times.

Essential Functions:

• Receive, stock, and organize inventory including HVAC equipment, service parts, and construction materials daily
• Pull and stage inventory for installation and new construction projects
• Process warranty and return parts weekly
• Package filters and media regularly
• Create purchase orders (POs) and manage inventory controls
• Operate forklift and pallet jack safely to unload trucks and stock warehouse
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and trucks, including trash removal
• Communicate effectively with vendors via email
• Manage inventory and ordering procedures, ensuring proper documentation and job costing
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and run parts to technicians as needed
• Lift 40-50 lbs regularly and adhere to safety protocols
• Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the Northern Code of Ethics

Industry Benchmarks:

• Maintain 98% accuracy in job parts pulling
• Deliver parts within 20 minutes on jobs unless otherwise approved
