Job description

Job Purpose

The warehouse associate performs general warehouse duties, including working with heavy equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move freight. They complete paperwork, ensure tasks are completed safely with the highest quality and on time, and make decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory. The warehouse associate works as part of a team to complete tasks safely, with high quality, and on schedule for our customers. They must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and work in hot or cold weather. A warehouse worker should be alert, ambitious, hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions while working as a team.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Order Puller - Pull customer orders, warehouse stock orders, various kits, and complete discrepancy sheets.
  2. Shipping - Pack boxes, prepare shipping labels and documents for UPS, FedEx, and motor freight.
  3. Receiving - Receive and verify shipments from vendors via UPS, FedEx, and motor freight. Store stock in appropriate locations and sign for shipments.
  4. Quality Control - Visually inspect and verify the accuracy of every order before shipping.
  5. Dispatch - Dispatch orders with correct quantities, freight costs, tracking numbers, and package weights.
  6. Inventory/Control/Cycle Counting - Conduct counting, measuring, and recording as a team with other warehouse associates.
  7. Hose Assembly - Assemble and crimp hoses and fittings in small and large quantities for customer orders.
  8. Kitting - Package various components according to customer specifications.
  9. Front Counter - Assist customer inquiries at the front counter, identify correct replacements, and may require fabrication of hoses, fittings, and other components.
  10. Year-End Inventory - Conduct counting, measuring, and recording as a team.
  11. Other Duties - Housekeeping, equipment maintenance, team meetings, posting performance metrics, organizing celebrations, and attending training or classes.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and safely
  • Warehouse work experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified forklift driver is a plus
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
  • Strong team spirit
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated
  • Basic keyboard skills
