Job summary

Valbruna Group USA in Pompton Lakes, NJ, is seeking a warehouse associate to move, store and ship materials in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will read orders, prepare shipments, maintain inventory records, and use a computer to enter data. Forklift experience and metals industry familiarity are preferred, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Experience in the metals industry is preferred.
• Packaging experience is preferred.
• Must work safely in a fast-paced distribution environment with forklift traffic, material, and machinery.
• Hourly Rate $18 - $19, based on experience, benefits, and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

• Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys material and items from receiving or other areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places material or items on racks or shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distributes for shipment.
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders for shipping.
• Marks material with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Records amounts of material or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance with company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Maintains inventory records.

Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,800 employees and an annual output of approx. 300,000 tons of specialty steels.
