Job summary

TEKsystems in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Warehouse Worker / Inventory Control Specialist for a contract role onsite. You will handle asset receiving, tagging, data entry, and inventory storage while ensuring accurate records and efficient retrieval for orders.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Receiving & Processing

• Receive incoming IT equipment shipments (laptops, monitors, peripherals, etc.)
• Break down pallets and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders
• Identify discrepancies and escalated as needed

Asset Tagging & Data Entry

• Apply asset tags to tracked devices
• Capture and align serial numbers with asset tags using Excel or internal tools
• Maintain accurate asset records throughout the intake process

Inventory Management & Storage

• Assign and maintain warehouse storage locations (rack/shelf-based system)
• Store equipment in an organized, trackable manner
• Retrieve inventory based on incoming orders

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plainfield, IN.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
