Job summary

RightStone in Orlando, FL is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a 2-month contract (temp to perm) to support loading, unloading, and organizing storage items. You will frequently lift 24–100+ lbs, stand for long periods, and operate hand trucks and pallet jacks. The role requires basic English reading/writing and attention to detail.

The schedule runs 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 5 days a week with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. OT may be involved based on workload.

Qualifications

• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks and other material-handling tools.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and handle items such as files, books, binders, and backup tapes.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• Independently lift and carry boxes up to 100 lbs regularly.
• Use hand trucks, pallet jacks and other material handling aids to load and move items.
• Read/write in English to maintain and track inventory using a proprietary system.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate in Orlando FL 32809 with $17.51/hr pay for a 2-month contract duration (temp to perm opportunity). In this role, you will play a vital part in the moving, arranging, lifting, and loading of storage boxes, bins, and totes. This position requires physical agility as you will frequently kneel, squat, reach, bend forward, and handle items ranging from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. If you have the physical capabilities and attention to detail required for this role.

Shift Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (5 days a week including 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. OT and weekend shift depending on the workload)

Roles and Requirements

• Process orders and handle items such as files, books, binders, and backup tapes.
• The work is physically demanding, involving manual lifting, carrying, and moving of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
• You should be capable of independently lifting and carrying boxes ranging from 10-100 lbs regularly.
• Operating hand trucks and pallet jacks on varying surfaces is also a key aspect of the role.

Essential Functions

• Perform tasks like walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and bending for extended periods.
• Independently handle gripping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and changes in surface/elevation.
• Read and write in English proficiently.
• Lift and move boxes, process orders, and use a proprietary computer system for tracking.
• Operate handheld scanners and maintain balance on ladders.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. For prolonged periods.
• Expertly load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various material handling aids.
• Load and shrink-wrap pallets on ground level or carts, and manually load boxes onto pallets and trucks.
