Job summary

CalfCare in Indiana is seeking a Warehouse Associate to accurately prepare orders for shipment, receive goods, and help maintain organization in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate with warehouse staff, field reps, veterinarians, and clients to ensure timely fulfillment.

The role requires a valid driver''s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort with navigation tools for delivery planning. On-site work with potential route deliveries.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Restock supplies and monitor low stock levels.
• Process orders in the Computer Database (Fulfillment and Invoicing).
• Transport materials on shipping dock using hand truck, forklift, or other vehicle as needed.
• Occasionally deliver orders on designated routes as demand requires.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Associate is an integral part of the success of CalfCare. Due to the nature of the organization and our clients, this person will be responsible for accurately preparing orders for shipments. This is a fast-paced communication-heavy environment where changes and adjustments can happen without notice. This position will also be accepting incoming shipments and helping oversee the general organization of the warehouse. You will work closely with others in the warehouse, field reps, veterinarians, and the rest of the CalfCare team as well as CalfCare clients. You may be asked to help in other departments as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick, pull, pack customer orders in a timely, efficient, accurate manner
• Receive goods and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against supplier's count and immediately report discrepancies and damages to warehouse and purchasing manager per company policy
• Restock supplies and inventory. Communicate with Warehouse Manager on low stock
• Process orders in Computer Database- Fulfillment and Invoicing
• Transport materials on shipping dock with a hand truck, forklift or other vehicle as needed
• Occasionally deliver orders on designated delivery routes as demand requires

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• A general understanding of animal husbandry, primarily livestock (Helpful)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps to plan delivery routes
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Must be able to load and unload packages without assistance in various types of weather
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (or sit during delivery routes)
