Job summary

Unified Door and Hardware Group is hiring for a full-time position that involves customer service in a warehouse environment, with responsibilities including product knowledge and building maintenance. Applicants are expected to maintain safety and cleanliness protocols while assisting in warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Compensation is between $22-$26 per hour with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and a generous 401(k) plan.

• Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Occasional operation of forklift or similar equipment for multiple hours.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Product Knowledge
  • Provide service to customers entering the warehouse
  • Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services
  • Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size
• Warehouse Operations & Maintenance
  • Perform minor building maintenance when necessary
  • Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials
  • Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse
  • Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc
  • Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories
• Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
• Trainings
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Occasional operation of forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures
  • Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned
