Job summary

Manhattan Laminates is hiring a Warehouse Associate to handle inbound/outbound transactions, follow inventory controls, and support clients and departments. You will pick and package plywood orders, assist customers with pickups, and help unload/load trucks while maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Requirements include lifting 50 lbs and at least 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience; RF scanner experience is preferred. Long Island City area commute is expected.

Qualifications

Description

The Warehouse Associate for Manhattan Laminates | Roberts Plywood will be primarily responsible for processing inbound/outbound transactions in a timely and accurate manner, applying inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and servicing/supporting clients and departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pick & package orders of plywood for shipment using sit-down forklift.
• Assist in customer pick-ups by locating orders via handheld scan gun, pulling correct items, and assisting the client load their vehicles.
• Assist in unloading and loading trucks.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness (i.e. moving skids off the floor, keeping entrance to exits/entrances clear, discarding empty packaging, etc.)
• Maintain safe work environment by reporting hazards to management.

Requirements

• Required to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
• Required to have at least 1 year forklift experience.
