Job summary

Sun Technologies, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate in Somerset, NJ to support receiving, stocking, packing, and shipping operations. The role involves standing for long periods, operating stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers, and following safety policies.

The assignment is a 3–6 month contract with possible extension, with shifts Monday–Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and potential overtime or weekends based on workload. Pay is $19/hr plus applicable benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of warehouse experience.
• Stand-up/reach truck forklift experience required.
• Order-picker (cherry picker) experience preferred.
• Steel toe boots required for safety.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Unload material and inspect for quality against minimum client requirements.
• Stock and transfer material to shelves, bins, or racks as per sequence.
• Mark material with identifying information.
• Transfer material to and from shops for modification.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and package per requirements.
• Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air Shipments.
• Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness per OSHA and customer policies.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Shift timings : Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Maintain the flow of stocked and delivered inventory by pulling material from bins, loading material onto trucks, placing new material arrivals into bins, scanning, or entering the data into the inventory database.

Responsibilities

• Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks; inspecting material for minimum client quality requirements.
• Stock and transfer material, tools, and equipment to appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bind location, size, type, style, and length;
• Mark material with correct identifying information.
• Transfer material to and from the shops for modification purposes.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as per customer requirements.
• Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air Shipments.
• Adhere to required safety policies, guidelines, and training.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and customer safety policies.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in warehouse.
• Looking for stand-up (reach truck) forklift operators, and order-picker (cherry picker) operators
• Steel Toe Boots: Required for safety compliance.
